Annual membership parallels the academic year, from September to June.

Member: $125

Associate Member: $125

Senior Member: $65

Student: $50

 

Benefits

As a METRO member, you receive monthly publications such as "MEET" (our job opportunity bulletin) and "MetroNews" (information about upcoming meetings and summaries of previous presentations). You receive discounts for our workshops and annual Career Day event, and may attend our monthly meetings at no charge. Members also receive a free copy of our annual Membership Directory.

Membership Profile

  • Approximately half have a Ph.D. in Psychology; while many were trained in Industrial/Organizational, a good number majored in Counseling/Clinical, Developmental or Educational. Other members have doctorates in related fields.
  • About a third have a Master's degree in Psychology, Business, or other related behavioral science fields.
  • The remaining 20% are students in doctoral- or master-level degree programs in the specialties noted above.
  • Of the 50-100 members who typically attend the monthly meetings, most are currently working in applied or academic settings, including major corporations, consulting firms, professional services firms, universities, research centers, government and private practice.

Membership Categories

Member

Fellow or Member of APA or APS; Psychologist licensed or certified by a state; or an individual who holds a doctorate based on a program preparing him/her to apply the principals of pyschology in the work setting

Associate Member

A person not otherwise qualified for regular memberships whose current interests or occupation involve applications within the behavioral science area

Student Member

Available to matriculated, full-time students

Senior Member

Available to members 65 years or older, who have paid dues for at least the past five consecutive years.

Past President

Past METRO Presidents get their dues waived for the year after their presidency.
