METRO Mentorship Program

About the Program

Through conversations with community members, it became evident there is a need to provide a more formal way of mentoring and supporting people through their I/O psychology journey. Inspired by this community-based interest, the METRO Mentorship Program (MMP) is a formal manifestation of this year’s METRO board goals of forming connections, enhancing networking opportunities, and strengthening our I/O community.

Mission statement: Through the METRO Mentorship pairs, we leverage the deep expertise of the METRO community and make it available for those who need it for the benefit of the I/O community at large.

Program Purpose

Mentor-Mentee relationships will follow a traditional, hierarchical, relationship in which both parties meet to set and work towards accomplishing specific goals. Through a collaborative effort to achieve meaningful outcomes, both roles are expected to actively participate. Mentors will receive comprehensive training materials, including session guides, to support relationship building and effective goal setting.
